What was the last year for you?

Last year was a year of challenges for the whole industry and made us get used to new realities that significantly changed the life of each of us. And we are no exception. At the same time, we looked for and found new solutions, new approaches in work that would guarantee efficiency. This year made us stronger, more tempered and more flexible.

What, in your opinion, should be done first to restore the industry and successfully move forward in the new environment?

The principles of transparent and open cooperation between the state and business are becoming increasingly important under the new conditions. For the industry to recover, it is necessary to start with fundamental steps - trust, clear rules of operation, transparent mechanisms. All this will be the basis for investment and industry development.

What do you consider the main achievement of the year? (Personal/your company’s)

I do not differentiate personal achievements and the achievements of Nadra of Ukraine, as I am the Company and the Company is me. We are the whole entity. Therefore, the most important achievement is that we managed to change the negative financial dynamics of subsidiaries and ensure the stable operation of the company as a whole. During the year, we fully repaid the debt on unified social tax of subsidiaries (UAH 15 million), reduced the debt to the Pension Fund by UAH 4 million, paid UAH 120 million in taxes. We restored more than 10 previously abandoned hydrocarbon wells. We managed to reverse the negative trend and begin the revival of the Company as a whole.
Thanks to the support of the government, we again launched the Yuzivska project frozen for several years. As a result, all participants of the process will receive certain benefits. And most importantly, hydrocarbon recovery in Ukraine will increase.

What advice would you give to your colleagues? What will help businesses better adapt to changes?

We should work hard and master new creative approaches, be flexible and look for opportunities for cooperation. We can rebuild the industry by pooling our efforts.

What are your goals for next year?

First, we must overcome the unprofitable activities of the Company's subsidiaries, which is typical for the last 10 years of operation. Second, we have to repay debts to employees of Poltavnaftogazgeologia bankrupted in 2009. Third, we should renew the fixed assets of Nadra of Ukraine NJSC as a guarantee of increasing its competitiveness and investment attractiveness. And the last, our goal is to keep the team and positive stable work. We also intend to work towards finding new investment projects to conduct geological exploration, study new promising areas, expand the network of fields in order to increase the country's resource base and further development of the geological industry. The company is open for interesting investment offers in this direction.
