Ukrnafta PJSC paid UAH 7.33 billion in taxes to budgets of all levels during January-July 2021. This amount includes the rental fee for subsoil use, VAT, excise duty and other taxes. For subsoil use, the state and local budgets of various levels received UAH 4.3 billion in rental fee. Of these, UAH 215 million will go to local budgets in accordance with the law mechanism for distributing rental fee for oil and gas production. The largest revenues from Ukrnafta’s rental fee will receive the budgets of Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk and Poltava regions.
According to the operational data of Ukrtransgaz JSC, natural gas reserves in Ukraine's UGSs exceeded 18 bcm, Energoreform reports.
According to estimates of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, from the end of the gas withdrawal season from April 29 to August 27, 2021, the reserves in the Ukrainian UGSs grew by 17.9% (2.731 bcm) – up to 18.022 bcm.
Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC insists on long-run booking the capacities of the Ukrainian gas transmission system by European companies this fall, at the same time, the company is ready to continue the transit contract with Gazprom after 2024.
This was stated by the head of the board of the company Yuri Vitrenko, the press service of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC said.
The head of Naftogaz assured of the reliability and competitiveness of the Ukrainian GTS in relation to other gas pipelines, including Nord Stream-2.

Based on the results of 7 months, gas production by DTEK Oil&Gas amounted to more than 1.1 bcm. This is more than 10% more than last year.
The company notes that an increase in production was made possible by the successful completion of the drilling program in 2020, as well as the completion of drilling of 2 wells in 2021. In addition, DTEK Oil&Gas in 2021 successfully completed workover and stimulation operations, as well as technological operations at more than 20 wells of the existing well stock. A number of technologies were applied by the company for the first time in Ukraine.
By the end of the year, DTEK Oil&Gas expects to complete the drilling of 2 more wells and commission a refrigeration unit at the Machukhskoe field. This will allow the company to reach a new record production rate in 2021 - 2 bcm of gas.
On August 19, the British company Enwell Energy, which is part of the Smart Energy group of companies, started drilling the well No. 4 at the Svistunkovsko-Chervonolutskoe field (Poltava region).
This will be the first well drilled in 25 years at the field. Its design depth is 5,565 m. Completion of drilling and well testing is scheduled for Q3 2022.
SystemOilEngineering completed the workover of the wells No. 3 and No. 6 at the Vodyanovskaya area in the Kharkiv region.
The company managed to significantly increase the productivity of the repaired wells, which today produce a total of more than 100 mcm of daily flow rate.

Fitch improves Naftogaz’s outlook from stable to positive.

Thus, Maxim Belyavskiy, Director for Integrated Communications of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, notes that changes in the company were positively assessed. This applies to both the change of leadership and the completion of the gas market reform.

Based on key indicators, post-tax profit was USD 9.9 million (H1 2020: USD 1.5 million), the Group’s revenues in 2021 are USD 39.5 million (H1 2020: USD 35.1 million).
At the same time, the Group's production figures decreased by 11% compared to the same period in 2020.
The company continues to explore new growth opportunities for the Group, both within the existing portfolio and within the development of the Ukrainian asset by acquiring new licenses.
In July, Ukrnafta PJSC successfully completed the third hydraulic fracturing operation at the well No. 704 Dolinskaya according to the Fly Ash Frac technology using fly ash (dry) and fines proppants. The new technology makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of the operation and involve previously unused deposits.
Ukrnafta is still the only enterprise in the country that carries out such an operation. The idea of using the Fly Ash Frac technology came from the UNPS initiative group: Sergey Kuzub, Yaroslav Khalak, Mikhail Magun and Mikhail Babiy. To develop the idea, colleagues used the experience of US world leaders in the production of hydrocarbons. During 2020, the company carried out comprehensive laboratory studies on how dry ash affects rocks. And only after receiving positive result, Ukrnafta performed a pilot hydraulic fracturing operation.

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC completed the reconstruction and launched Yablunivska booster compressor station (BCS) in the Poltava region.
The modernization of the unit will reduce the well-head pressure in the wells of the depleted Yablunivskoe, Komyshnyanskoe and Skorobagatovskoe fields.
According to the press service of the company, the launch of a practically new facility in five years will give additional 326 mmcm of commercial gas, 13.5 thousand tons of condensate and 32.7 thousand tons of liquefied gas.
"High-quality gas extraction from depleted fields is one of our priority tasks. The largest of the assets were assigned to specially created groups of specialists who develop individual solutions to optimize production," deputy director of the Naftogaz Exploration and Production division Oleg Tolmachev said.
According to him, Naftogaz is currently working on several large projects to modernize gas treatment plants and compressor stations.
Ukrnafta PJSC received more than UAH 2.3 billion from restructured accounts receivable for a total of about UAH 7 billion, Chairman of the Board of the company Oleg Gez said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to him, when deciding to sign agreements on restructuring of debts formed back in 2015 to Ukrnafta for the supplied oil, he was guided by the fact that many debtor companies did not have any significant assets.
Lisichansk-Kremenchug main oil pipeline and the tank farm of the Pivdenny sea oil terminal received the status of a customs warehouse, according to the press release of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC. The company believes that such an additional type of activity as oil storage will increase the competitiveness and efficiency of the functioning of the oil transmission system of Ukraine.
