The last week of January for Naftogaz group was marked by personnel changes. Alexandr Oleksenko was appointed CEO of Poltavagasvydobuvannya – branch of Ukrgasvydobuvannya. According to the company, the new branch manager has more than 25 years of experience in the energy and financial sectors.

He also added that funds received from the sale of state geological information would be used to digitize it and prepare new open auctions or tenders.
Ukrnafta PJSC shared production results. Ukrnafta boosted hydrocarbon production last year. The average daily oil and condensate production saw 4.6% up to 4.15 thousand tons/day compared to 3.97 thousand tons/day in 2018. The average daily gas production also showed an increase from 2.96 MMCM/day up to 3.18 MMCM/day. In total, last year Ukrnafta carried out 7 hydraulic fracturing operations, completed workover of 160 wells, conducted 57 operations to intensify production and restored 121 wells to production. The company notes that these measures gave additional 173.4 thousand tons of oil and condensate and 138.1 MMCM of natural gas.
American company DENIMEX together with DJ TubularServicePte introduces a new HardBanding service. The relevance of the innovative HarBanding technology can significantly increase the shelf life of a drill pipe by applying wear-resistant carbide belts.

CEO of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC Sergey Makogon announced the start of a virtual reverse flow with Poland: “Imports from Poland includes import of gas from the Polish LNG terminal. That means that right now Ukraine can commercially import by virtual reverse up to 9 MMCM per day or 3.3 BCM of gas from the Polish terminal.” It is expected that in the near future a virtual reverse flow will be commenced in Slovakia and Hungary. The operators of these countries are working on this task. GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC is ready to work in the above format with the above countries.
Since December last year, DTEK Neftegaz helps university graduates start in their embraced profession.
To become a member of the Assignment Allowance for Graduates program, one must meet the following criteria: the first place of work after graduation must be DTEK Neftegaz, the applicant must have at least bachelor diploma and the job in the degree field. Successful completion of the probationary period is also a prerequisite.
On January 22, Weatherford Ukraine held a recruiting session for representatives of the Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University. “The main idea of recruiting sessions is to create the moment when we not only provide information about the company, but also give students the opportunity to meet the maximum number of our employees. DTEK Neftegas produced 1.66 BCM of natural gas in 2019.

This figure was a record-breaking for the company, exceeding production in 2018 by 0.66%. The bottom line in increasing the company's production was the commissioning of new high-yield deep wells. Along with that, effective measures were taken to intensify and apply innovative technologies. In total, DTEK Neftegaz in 2019 started construction of six new wells, three of which were completed through drilling in shortest possible time.
The commissioning and workover of existing wells allowed SmartEnergy companies to boost hydrocarbon production in 2019, increasing the total gas production by 24.7% and gas condensate by 28.7%.
The Ministry of Economy elected the UEB as a benchmark for the purchase of petroleum products at Prozorro. Relative to the numerous appeals of the public procurement entities on the need to amend the contracts concluded following the procurement procedures and due to the ongoing fluctuation of the price on the market, in order to avoid changes to the essential terms of the contracts, an interagency working group developed pricing mechanism for the following types of fuel: diesel, gasoline, fuel oil and liquefied gas.
As noted in the document, the price benchmark may be the international (European) stock quotes for the corresponding types of petroleum products and fuels and quotes of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
Thus, suppliers will have no reason to dump and undercut auction prices, since the price increase will depend on the actual market conditions.
The Ministry of Economy recommended using the above formula to determine the procedure for changing the essential terms of the contract.
Gosgeonedr announced the launch of a One-Stop Window for subsoil users. The aim of the new service will be to provide advices on the proper release of documents for special permits. The Chairman of the Agency Roman Opimakh noted that last year almost 65% of applications received by the Agency were given back to subsoil users. To avoid the rerun of this statistics, Gosgeonedr introduces providing advices at the preparation stage.

Poltava Petroleum Company announces annual production results. In just 12 months of 2019, the company produced 280.7 MMCM of natural gas, 55% up compared to 2018. Oil and gas condensate production totaled 47.4 tons. Over the past year, the company drilled 4 new wells and started drilling the fifth well, which was completed in January 2020.

Weatherford Ukraine team have been working for 12 years without incident, leading to a loss of time. The company's head office notes that “excellent work has been done, demonstrating how perfect execution ensures the safety and quality of service work.”
In early December, the Ukrainian Discovery drilling rig drilled an exploratory well at the prospective Koshevoiskoe gas field in the Poltava region.
Discovery Drilling Equipment notes that the SL2500 AC 650T W drilling rig is the first rig that was built for the Ukrainian company that is engaged in drilling in Ukraine. Prior to this, stationary drilling rigs were only subject to exports.
Drilling was started in July 2018 by the Vostochnyi Geologicheskiy Soyuz company of the GEO ALLIANCE group. Design depth is 6.2 km. The next stage will be the assessment of the potential of the field, the depth of prospective horizons will be determined.
Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC completed 8 stages of hydraulic fracturing at the well of the Lannovskoe field involving its own fleet, which made it possible to increase the daily production rate of the well more than 60 times.
Before the commencement of work, the daily well production rate was 1.5 MCM of gas. After the final work, the flow rate amounted to 95 MCM per day.
On January 13, 2020, KUB-Gas LLC celebrates the 20th anniversary of its activities. During this time, the company produced 2.48 BCM of natural gas and 52,749 tons of condensate, 33 wells were drilled and 35 were repaired, 30 wells were put into operation. The company is developing four fields - Olgovskoe, Makeevskoe, Krutogorovskoe and Vergunskoe.
