DTEK Naftogaz reports the completion of a deep well drilling. The depth of the new facility is 5,605 meters with a 380 meter horizontal displacement. As in other cases, the experience of leading international companies was used while drilling this well. The drilling was carried out by Belorusneft, the main elements of the drill string and other equipment were provided by NOV, Schlumberger ensured the technical expertise of the drilling process.

Currently, the well No. 61 at the Semirenkovskoe field is under test mode, but the company already expects a high inflow of hydrocarbons.
This week, Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC summed up the results that were achieved after terminating contracts with Karpatygaz LLC. After improved recovery operations, the daily production rate of one of the wells at the East-Poltava gas condensate field was increased from 10,000 cubic meters up to 144,000 cubic meters. The Company noted that by the end of 2019 it expects to further increase the volume of gas sales to the population by more than 300 MMCM thanks to improved recovery.
The results of the trilateral transit negotiations cannot be called effective. Each party declared its position. Naftogaz NJSC is not ready to provide Gazprom with special conditions - transit must be carried out according to EU rules under contracts between GTS operators and a contract with Gazprom as a gas supplier under the terms of the Ukrainian GTS capacity reservation.

For the last year, DTEK Neftegaz produced 1,648.5 MMCM of natural gas. This figure is higher than the expected one by 50 MMCM. Gas condensate production amounted to 51.5 thousand tons. The key advances of the company, resulting in production growth, were two completed wells and the commissioning of a propane cooler at the Olefirovskaya PGPT. Igor Shchurov, Director General of DTEK Neftegaz, noted that improved regulatory policies also facilitated the positive production dynamics. Next year, company intends to implement new infrastructure projects and enhance hydrocarbon recovery.

Ukrnefteburenie PrJSC also shared the results of the year. According to the company's estimates, gas production in 2018 amounted to 533 MMCM, which is 37% higher than in 2017. This production level became the major achievement for the company, having exceeded the two-year-old figure by 206%.
The company also noted that the annual production of oil and condensate grew by 69% compared to 2017 and by 249% compared to 2016 and amounted to 72 thousand tons of oil and condensate.
Commenting on the results of the company's activity in 2018, Mikhail Bakunenko, Chairman of the Board of Ukrnefteburenie PrJSC, noted the successful launch of four new wells and the well workover, as well as the commissioning of the gas pipeline that connected the Sakhalinskoe field and the Shebelinka– Kiev gas transmission corridor.
Horizontal and directional drilling technologies are becoming increasingly important for the geological conditions of the Ukrainian producing fields. The need for the development of this method of drilling has long been discussed by Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC. This week, the company entered into a USD 2.4 million contract with the Canadian engineering company MWDPlanet for the production and supply of the three sets of telemetry systems.
12 bidder fields were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to participate in tenders for oil and gas exploration and production under the terms of a production sharing agreement (PSA). Tenders are to be held in June 2019.

Ukrgazvydobuvannya pursues the successful development of hydraulic fracturing technology. Employees of the Lviv GPP together with contractors carried out a hydraulic fracturing operation at a depth of 900 m in the well No. 601. This is the 300th operation for the company, and the 3rd - for the Bilche-Volytskoe field. The effect from previous hydraulic fracturing operations gave an increase in production from 2 to 19 and from 9 to 34 thousand cubic meters of gas per day. The rest of the field wells are currently operated with an average production rate of 5,000 cubic meters of gas per day. Over two years, the level of knowledge of Ukrgazvydobuvannya technical specialists increased with the number of operations performed. The company modernized its hydraulic fracturing fleet and settle work with foreign contractors, whose experience contributed to the development of the hydraulic fracturing method, including among private companies.

Let us recall that, according to operational data, in 2018 Ukrgazvydobuvannya for the first time in 25 years reached a level of natural gas production - 15.496 BCM.
In early January, the private gas production sector traditionally shares the results of the year-round work. A great increase in total production was shown by SmartEnergy Group, which increased gas production in 2018 by 31%. Three Group’s producing assets - Regal Petroleum Corporation Limited, Ukrgazdobycha PJSC and PromEnergo-Product LLC - together produced 295.7 MMCM of gas. In 2017, this figure was 226 MMCM.
Poltava Petroleum Company also increased its annual production by 4.9%. For the year, the company produced 181.45 MMCM of natural gas. As the company noted, the results were largely due to the resumption of the drilling program and successful intensification work. The company intends to take part in auctions for new license areas next year.
