In Kiev, the Polish company Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG Grupa Kapitałowa) held a working meeting with Artur Cieslik, Vice President of PGNiG S.A, and Mr. Ireneusz Derek, Advisor to the Board of PGNiG S.A. on cooperation with Ukraine.
Roman Opimakh, head of the Ukrainian Geological Survey, told the guests about the existing proposals in the field of hydrocarbon recovery in Ukraine - these are more than 40 facilities with oil and gas deposits prepared for putting up for electronic trading.
Also Roman Opimakh acquainted the representatives of the Polish company with possible ways to access subsoil.
As PGNiG noted, the company is interested in the implementation of projects in the field of subsoil use in Ukraine, since there is a significant potential of hydrocarbon deposits. Facilities located in the western part of our country are of particular interest to the Polish side. This is due to the similar geology of the oil and gas regions of Western Ukraine and Poland.

Resonator X3 downhole oscillator was first used in Ukraine when drilling directional well. This is reported by UNGS (Ukrnaftagazservice).
Downhole oscillator was used Resonator X3 in order to optimize the operation of the BHA and increase the efficiency of directional well drilling. The well had a J-shaped profile, a maximum zenith angle of 25 degrees and a bottomhole deviation from the vertical of 562 m.
Use of Resonator X3 has a number of advantages. Perfect controllability of the BHA and high quality slides were obtained in the interval of 4,051-5,076 m. In addition, the time for orienting the diverter is significantly reduced; the friction of the drill string with the borehole walls is reduced; a smooth indicator of the axial load to the bit is provided; a stable pressure drop across the high pressure gas was obtained; the drill string "hang-up" was minimized, resulting in less BHA breaks and bit impacts. Compared to the previous well, the ROP in the slide was increased by 65%. In 4,900-5,076 m interval, the mechanical speed 3, 9 m/h was obtained, while during the work on adjusting the trajectory in the previous well in the interval 4,900-5,100 m, the mechanical speed was 2.4 m/h when drilling with a slide. The risk of sticking of the drilling tool was also reduced thanks to the creation of micro-vibrations along the X, Y, Z axes.
Ukraine produced 9.75 bcm of gas in H1 2021. This is 4% less than last year.
This situation is now all over the world due to pandemic, a sharp drop in prices and the economic crisis in 2019-2020. For example, in the Netherlands a reduction in production was recorded by 13%, in Romania - 7%, Norway - 6%.
Analysts of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine predict that maintaining favorable gas prices and government support for the industry will contribute to active drilling of new wells at the end of this year.

Based on the results of H1 2021, DTEK Oil&Gas produced over 960 mmcm of gas, which is 10% more than in the same period last year.
The company notes that the increase in production was possible due to systematic work and the introduction of the latest technologies. In 2021, the company is engaged in implementation of drilling, workover and stimulation program at base fields in the Poltava region. During H1 2021, DTEK Oil&Gas put into operation 2 new wells, carried out workover and stimulation operations at 21 wells of the existing stock.
In addition, DTEK Oil&Gas confidently demonstrates that an increase in gas production is possible even in mature fields with complex geological conditions. On July 14, the company set a new record for daily production in the private gas production sector - 5.8 MMCM.
Smart Energy group of companies put into operation an updated inhibitor farm at the well No. 61 of the Sviridovskoe field (Poltava region). A new booster compressor station (BCS) was installed, and the site for storing well killing fluids was modernized.
In addition, Smart Energy upgraded the site for storing killing fluids, expanding its territory, connecting three tanks, tying them with pipelines and equipping them with pumps, filling hoses and a drainage system. This to large extent simplified the work at the farm and optimized the time and resource consumption for the corresponding operations.
The reconstruction of the farm was started in March 2021. Starting-up and adjustment works of the new booster compressor station have been carrying out here since the end of May.
Shebelinka refinery increased processing of raw materials by almost 7% in H1 2021. Shebelinka oil refinery (Šhebel), part of the oil division of the Naftogaz Group, in January-June 2021 increased the volume of crude oil refining by 6.8% - up to 236 thousand tons.
At the same time, the company increased the production of Šhebel 95 gasoline by 83.8% - up to 24 thousand tons, and of Shebel diesel fuel - by 11.5%, up to 42 thousand tons. Production of Šhebel LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) grew by 0.1% - up to 73 thousand tons.
The total volume of fuel sales through its own network of U.GO filling stations in January-June 2021 grew by 7.7% - up to 8.3 thousand tons. In particular, sales of Šhebel 95 fuel grew by 49.6% - up to 1.7 thousand tons and diesel fuel - by 42.5%, up to 764 tons.

DTEK Oil&Gas to invest UAH 1.2 billion at the first stage of operation at the Zinkivska area, the PSA (Production Sharing Agreement) for which was signed on December 31 last year.

“DTEK Oil&Gas will make large investments in this project. We have already started some operations. As an investor, we are concerned with highest efficiency and await the fulfillment of the preliminary conditions of the agreement by the state. Already at this stage, the company sees certain risks that may affect the implementation of PSA projects. We hope to establish a constructive dialogue in order to eliminate these risks and work effectively within the PSA to ensure the energy independence of Ukraine,” Natalya Grebenyuk, Executive Director of DTEK Oil&Gas, said.
Ukrgasvydobuvannya reduced gas production by 5.3% in H1 2021. The company reports that in order to stabilize production, during June four new wells were drilled; 24 wells were repaired; 54 coiled tubing operations and 12 hydraulic fracturing operations were done; 6 high-rate wells were equipped with a remote monitoring system.
At the same time, Smart Energy Group companies produced 199 mmcm of natural gas in H1 2021, keeping production at a stable level.

The Smart Energy group of companies completed implementing software products by the Canadian software provider Peloton at its enterprises. This solution will help digitize all production data of the group's companies, thus simplifying access to large amounts of information, increasing the efficiency of working with industrial data and ensuring their high quality.
The task of the project was conversion into electronic format and analysis of all data and processes related to the life cycle of wells and infrastructure facilities: from design to completion of operation in order to reduce direct costs, increase the efficiency of processes, control the implementation of targets, etc.

For the period from 2019 to 2021, DTEK Oil&Gas invested about UAH 35 million in training of personnel. The company pays attention to the development of the competencies of its employees. At least 50% of DTEK's employees annually undergo educational programs, trainings and refresher courses. In 2021, the company will allocate UAH 15.6 million for this purpose.
In June 2021, Ukrtruboizol got down to the installation of a hydromechanical expander to expand pipes with a diameter of 406.4 mm to 1422 mm with a wall thickness of up to 24 mm. This equipment provides high strength and precise geometry of pipes along the entire length. There are no analogues of such equipment in Ukraine.
With the introduction of a new line for the production of steel pipes, Ukrtruboizol is now the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of longitudinal steel large diameter pipes with external anticorrosive and internal anticorrosive and/or smooth coatings for trunk gas and oil pipelines and the only pipe plant that has a set of equipment for a complete technological cycle of LDP production for trunk pipelines.
