Gas reserves in UGSs of Ukrtransgaz JSC as of the end of June amount to 16 BCM, which is 5% higher than at the beginning of the gas injection season.
As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the press service of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
It is noted that the company continues to accumulate "blue fuel" and injected another 19.3 mmcm of gas into UGSs for the past day. Also active works on repair and modernization of the equipment for smooth heating season are underway.
In particular, the company already carried out 95% of works within the first stage of reconstruction of the gas collection point of the Bohorodchany UGS. The total cost of this project is UAH 283.5 million, its completion is scheduled for H2 2021.
In addition, the reconstruction of the gas dehumidification plant with automation of the technological process at Dashava UGS is underway. Ukrtransgaz JSC already completed 57% of the project, the total budget of which is UAH 216.6 million.
The company also continues work on the reconstruction of the site of the gas collection point of the Krasnopartizansky UGS to be commissioned by the end of 2021. The project budget is UAH 100.4 million.
"All enterprises of the Naftogaz Group perform tasks to prepare for the next autumn-winter period in accordance with the plan approved," the company added.
Gas consumption in Ukraine is about 30 bcm per year, of which about 20 bcm is covered by domestic gas production, and the need for imported gas is about 10 bcm.
