According to Ukrtransgaz JSC, within five months of this year, 8.8 BCM of gas from Ukrainian gas producers came to the Ukrainian gas transmission system.

This figure is 3.5% higher than in the same period last year.

In January-May 2019, Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC produced 6.44 BCM of natural gas.

During this period, Ukrainian consumers of all categories from the beginning of the year and as of May 2019 transported 13.6 BCM of gas through trunk pipelines, which is 12% less than the similar figure in 2018.

With regard to the level of reserves in gas storage facilities, Ukrtransgaz notes that 2.7 BCM of gas was pumped into UGS in January-May 2019, which is 27% more than during the same period in 2018, and the withdrawal from UGS was 5.1 BCM of gas (29% less than a year ago).

As of May 31, 2019, Ukraine’s UGS contain 11.4 BCM of blue fuel. This is 19% more than a year ago.

Before the next heating season, Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC expects to pump into UGS at least 20 BCM of gas for the stable operation of the gas transmission network in case of gas imports termination from Russia after January 1, 2020.
