PJSC "Ukrnafta" informs about appointment of Oleg Gez to the position of the Chairman of the Management Board from July 31, 2020. The appointment was made in accordance with the decisions of the Supervisory Board of the company.
Oleg Gez joined the team of Ukrnafta in 2016, first as Director of Planning and Performance Control Department, and from October 2017 - Executive Vice President for Sales, who is also a member of the Management Board. Since May 1, 2019, he has been acting as interim Chairman of the Company's Management Board.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr.Gez noted: "The main tasks that need to be resolved in the next 6-12 months are, first of all, to settle the issue of historical tax debts, to solve the problems existing in the oil auction system, as well as to overcome the crisis phenomena - first of all, the consequences of lockdown and the fall in world oil prices and demand for oil. In addition, one of the priorities is the stabilization of production and operating activities of the company".
Oleg Gez has over 15 years of experience in the oil industry. He focused mainly on the development of the Downstream business segment, refining and sales of oil products, operational efficiency of the sales direction, management and transformation of the retail business, management of M&A agreements in the oil and gas sector. Prior to joining Ukrnafta, Mr. Gez spent more than 10 years of his career with TNK-BP, where he held management positions in strategic planning, asset management and sales in the B2B sector. From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Gez was responsible for strategic planning, asset management and sales in the B2B sector. He also worked as Deputy General Director for Economics at VDS in Belarus.
Oleg Gez graduated from Kyiv National Economic University. Oleg Gez graduated from Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University and received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Project Management and Consulting. He undertook an internship under the British Chancellor Financial Sector Scheme at Leeds Business School (Leeds, UK) and Kepstowe Freight Services (London, UK). He also holds a degree in Chartered Certified Accountant and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK).
